Tri Erg

The three main ergometers (ergs): the rowing machine, the ski erg, and the bike erg. Each of these machines offers unique benefits and can significantly enhance your performance on race day.

  • Ski Erg

The SkiErg simulates cross-country skiing, engaging your upper body, core, and legs in a powerful pulling motion. It challenges cardiovascular endurance while building strength and coordination, making it a full-body erg that demands rhythm, consistency, and explosive power throughout each stroke.

  • Row Erg

The RowErg mimics on-water rowing, combining leg drive, core stability, and upper-body pulling strength into one fluid motion. It’s a total-body workout that tests stamina, technique, and efficiency. In HYROX, pacing on the rower is key to conserving energy while still delivering maximum output for later stations.

  • Bike Erg

The BikeErg replicates road cycling, delivering low-impact but high-intensity conditioning. It primarily targets the legs while demanding sustained cardiovascular endurance. In HYROX, it pushes athletes to maintain steady wattage under fatigue, making it a test of grit, aerobic capacity, and smart pacing to balance speed with recovery.
